Suzanne Merrett

Wedding Day Memories emerged on the Toronto wedding scene in 1998, not long after Suzanne walked into George’s commercial photo studio and met her business partner, love of her life and best friend! They quickly developed a personal style, coupled with intense customer service, that is unmatched in the Toronto event market. Always unique, they were Toronto’s first "team" of professional photographers, and were the first studio to switch to all digital photography.  Limiting themselves to just 30 to 40 weddings a year helps keep it fresh. They combine George’s relaxed and creative portraiture, along with Suzanne’s natural ability for documentary storytelling.  The blend of the two styles provides couples with creative editorial photography that reflects the special moments of their wedding day.

In 2005, Suzanne and George launch their corporate division Amara Studios.

Photographer Suzanne Merrett grew up in the suburban landscape of Port Moody, British Columbia. She moved east to study photography, and never returned to the "other side of the mountains". She earns her living as a photographer, specializing in editorial coverage of weddings, intimate pregnancy/family portraits and corporate events. In 1998 her body of work “Suburbia” was selected as the winner of the Murray Koffler Founding Chairman Purchase Award at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. Her most recent body of work, “Place”, is a series of black & white photographs which depict the search for identity within our communities. Her work has been exhibited across Canada.
